Frequently Asked Questions

What is the slope of the hoppers on a standard 2 box?
The slope on a 2 box standard EasiLoad is 38 degrees.  This is the ideal slope with the height of the deck, any less slope seed will not flow.  The key to keeping seed damage free is getting the seed to the auger and keeping it full, the EasiLoad  2 box standard does that.

Are the boxes hard to load on the EasiLoad seed systems?
No absolutely not.  Loading the boxes on the EasiLoad systems need to be a 2 step process.  Step 1. with standard forks leave about 8 inches between the mast and the box.   Go over the sump on the EasiLoad and set the box down leaving about 12 inches hanging off the tender.  Back up and get another "bite" about 12 inches of fork and lift 2 inches high.  Simply slide the box  on to the back of the welded pegs squaring the box .  Set down and back away.

How are the boxes removed?
First , unlock the lock down brackets, then pull the boxes off as far as the sump will allow.  This will leave 12 inches of the box hanging off the edge of the tender.  With the fork lift come in about 18-20 inches and raise the box up removing it from the system.  Then reposition the box for transport to storage.

Are all boxes the same size?
Yes, the boxes are manufactured by buckhorn, all standard.

Are the boxes water tight?
Yes the boxes are  3 pieces , top , bottom and lid.  All over lap each other for tightness.

Does the horizontal auger on the lo pro systems damage the seed?
No , the horizontal auger is a poly lundell plastic cup auger that runs 1/2 speed bringing seed to the transition box.   The ratio of the system always keeps the auger full with no damage.

How fast are the systems?
The standard 2 box can unload 50 units of seed in approximately 6 ½  minutes.  The lo pro 2 box unloads at a rate of approximately 4 ½  minutes and the 3 and 4 box systems with the 7 inch vertical auger has a speed of approximately 4 ½ minutes.  the 3 and 4  box EasiLoad tenders with an 8 inch auger unloads 50 units in approximately 3 minutes, damage free.

Does a belt conveyor handle seed better then a poly cup auger?
Independent test done by Ohio State University, source: impact of bulk seed handling on soybean germination rate, has found that decrease in germination with a poly cup auger is 1.5% while the belt conveyor is 5.9%.  These are  independent test results.

Can you load the boxes from any side?
No .  with an EasiLoad systems boxes are loaded  and unloaded from the passenger side.  Since the system is totally welded the lock down pegs on the back side are solid.  There is no need to load from the driver side.

Where can I get parts if I need them?
Parts can be obtained through Clarks Ag Supply or from one our many independent sales reps across the country.  Parts will shipped UPS.

Can EasiLoad systems be powder coated?
Yes , all systems can have powder coat paint.  Contact your nearest sales rep for details.

How  easy it to load a central fill planter with an EasiLoad seed systems?
With an EasiLoad system you don’t have to be in an exact spot to reach the ccs planters.  Unlike the conveyors an EasiLoad system is a one man operation.  As long as you are close so the 3 stage telescoping tube will reach you are ok.

How long have the EasiLoad seed systems been available?
EasiLoad seed systems from Clarks Ag Supply were developed in 2000.  starting with a 2 box standard the first year 10 were built and sold.  as of 2010 over 2000 EasiLoad systems are across the USA in 34 states and Canada.

What if I buy an EasiLoad and I would need a bigger one?
Clarks Ag Supply will trade for an update on a new EasiLoad system.  What we usually figure for a one year  system is 25% off of purchase price.

What does an EasiLoad seed system have above the competition?
Our patented design is the lowest in the industry.  with an EasiLoad system you never leave the ground when operating.  An EasiLoad system is the safest on the market today.

Does an EasiLoad system retain seed when empty?
The EasiLoad seed systems clean out very well.  No system can claim to be 100% clean.  The EasiLoad systems are designed to clean out with ease.  The clean out is on the bottom on a standard 2 box and on the bottom of the transition box on the lo pro 2 , 3 , and 4 box systems.  water can be used to flush out any of the systems for even better results.

Why not use hydraulics to drive the system or to raise the auger?
When hydraulics are used you have oil, pumps, hoses, fittings and leaks.  When hydraulics are involved the system is designed for a “cheap” fix thus adding to a “cheap” system.

How do you lift the unloading auger?
Clarks Ag supply uses a “KYB” to lift the augers on all of the systems.  All systems come with a long auger that will reach any planter on the market.  a heavy duty, water proof toggle switch  is used to raise the KYB.

Why not have options on the EasiLoad systems?
At Clarks Ag Supply our philosophy is to build the best system on the market.  One that will last for years to come with complete satisfaction.  The totally welded construction insures the system will be the best for years to come. The EasiLoad seed systems come with features that are not bells and whistles.  The features are you have told us that are a must to make the system the best. The competition has systems that don’t have Honda motors as a standard feature but can be added for additional cost.

Does Clarks Ag Supply do that?
No. we feel the best motor to drive the EasiLoad systems are Hondas.  Honda’s are virtually trouble free and have a 2 year warranty.  the 2:1 gear reduction clutch is exclusively a Honda product that works excellent with the EasiLoad systems needs.

Clarks Ag Supply runs seed through  EasiLoad systems during outdoor shows, raise and lowers the augers during indoor shows.  why don’t other companies do that?
At Clarks Ag Supply we are very confident on how easy an EasiLoad seed system operates.  We feel it is very important to allow the customer to have hands on to see exactly what they are going to be using.

Do you offer an inoculators or a talc applicator for EasiLoad seed systems?
Yes we do.  Inoculators can be installed on any system to apply inoculants in the field. Talc applicators can be installed on the lo pro 2 box , 3 and 4 box EasiLoad tenders.  We cannot install a talc on the standard 2 box.  To do that the talc applicator would sit in the middle between the boxes.  If the talc applicator is placed there it is only a matter of time before it is crushed by a box being loaded.

Is there an advantage to the augers reaching out from an EasiLoad seed system?
Yes.  the reach of an EasiLoad system is the greatest in the industry.  With a reach of 7 ft. and the flex on the 3 stage telescoping tube any planter from a small individual box to an inter planter with the center post can be reached easily.

Do you offer a remote control?
Yes a remote is one of the additions you can make on the EasiLoad system.  It must fit your operation.
